  paid for by the sale of a previous smaller hall, contributions and donations. the sale money will go to the watchtower. the congregation members--far fewer than before---will have to share a hall with 2 other congregations.

  Last of the big conventions?

  had lunch with some friends during today's waste of time convention.

  they spoke of the rumor floating around that the jws will move away from these big regional conventions and have them at assembly halls and tie them in to kingdom halls.. they seemed to believe it was a pretty reliable source.. i think it would be too good to be true but who knows?.

  anyone else heard this rumor?.

  How can angels be sexually attracted to women?

  the nephilim account in genesis is utterly ridiculous when you consider that angels are sex-less beings and would therefore lack sex-drive and romantic attraction.

  think of how difficult it is for humans with a sex drive to be sexually attracted to animals.

  now take away that sex drive and it becomes literally impossible.

  If a person is transgender and gets saved what will they go to heaven as?

  i know this is a stupid question because the answer is obvious, but if a person was born a male and gets transgender surgery to turn into female will that person go to heaven as a male or female if they died saved?

  i think they will go to heaven with the gender they were born with.

  How do you talk to a child that believes Jehovah/Armageddon is real

  i'm having some serious issues with my child, she is now 5 and her mother is teaching her all sorts of things regards god, jehovah is real, in heaven, pray if you're scared, etc.

  the problem is the kid is scared of demons at night and also conflicted that i don't believe, she also figured out jehovah doesn't actually help her not to be scared.. i've tried explaining that i'm there for her, watching over at night.

  i've tried introducing her to various churches and beliefs so she understands there is a difference in believes and she likes those churches better than kingdom hall.

  its just another form of child abuse. my kids had all this 30+ years ago from their born in mother and her lunatic rutherfordite mother. and theres not a sodding thing i could do about it.

  i could never understand why some people who know the truth about the "truth" ever go back.

  once you understand all the hypocrisy and negatives, i would think it's almost impossible to go back!.

  well--actually--yes--i could go back to the dubs.

  i like the fact they dont celebrate christmas and birthdays. since i left ive spent an absolute fortune on presents--sometimes for people i dont even like.

  just one thing they would have to change though----publicly admit that god is just a man-made myth. all the rest of their nonsense would then fall into place.
